IN THE MOOD FOR
- Inspired by our Mood Collection, this section of our journal is dedicated to a curated list of recommendations for every Mood.
The following are currently my favorite restaurants for brunch in the city!
1. WITH FAMILY
Restaurant: Cosme - 35 E 21st St, New York, NY 10010
Whenever my family visits from France, we always have brunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Cosme. We love sharing a few different appetizers - the herb guacamole is a must! - and we almost always get the lamb barbacoa as a main entree to share. The lamb comes with tortilla so you can make tacos; if you're only going to brunch with one other person, the leftovers will make an easy Sunday dinner at home. If you go, you must try the corn meringue; it's the best dessert in the city!
2. CASUAL BUT ROMANTIC
Restaurant: Sola Pasta Bar - 330 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013
I'm always in search of a new restaurant to enjoy a romantic Sunday brunch that's casual and where I can enjoy delicious food. If you go to Sola, I recommend sitting at the bar so you can watch the cooks prepare the appetizers and the pasta. The cacio e pepe is delicious, and the burrata is a great appetizer! The restaurant is located in SoHo, so you can enjoy a nice stroll and a bit of shopping after brunch.
3. QUIET AND HEALTHY
Restaurant: NoMad Restaurant - 1170 Broadway & 28th Street, New York, NY 10001
I frequent NoMad for business breakfasts, as it's a quiet neighborhood with a variety of healthy food options. I love their selection of viennoiseries and I can never refuse a chocolate croissant! The spinach and goat cheese omelet and the fruit plates are my favorites. Overall, this is a great place to be productive and eat French food!
